Moving Picture Reprint Series

The Moving Picture Reprint Series brings rare texts, pamphlets, and ephemera from the earliest days of cinema back into print. Each volume is enriched with illustrations, annotations, and original research, offering readers both authenticity and context.

All materials are sourced from scarce originals, scanned in high resolution, and carefully restored, ranging from light retouching to complete page reconstruction when needed.

Our mission is simple: to preserve and share forgotten corners of early cinema history, making them accessible to new generations of readers, scholars, and film enthusiasts.

Page-Turner Series

The Page-Turner Series revives fragile and long-forgotten pulp stories and dime novels, spanning the Victorian era with the occasional gem from later years.

Expect blood, thunder, melodrama, and romance, just as readers did more than a century ago!

Each edition is carefully restored for modern readers. Pages are meticulously retouched to bring back the clarity of the original text. When damage from old printing plates makes this impossible, the stories are transcribed using OCR or retyped by hand, always with close attention to preserving the original format, punctuation, and character of the work.

Popular Screen Library

Step back into the golden age of Hollywood with rare and long-lost 1920s movie tie-in dime novels and studio biographies.

The movie tie-in adaptations were based on original scripts and bring classic films, and stars like Lon Chaney, to life in thrilling new ways. These novels expand the plots: fleeting scenes are given rich detail, characters’ motives are explored more deeply, and even minor figures are given compelling backstories.

The series also publishes autobiographies by movie stars, offering a rare, first-hand glimpse into the lives of the legends who defined early cinema.
